What is Advanced Body Sugaring?
When it comes to getting rid of unwanted hair on your body, shaving and waxing are probably the first two treatments that come to mind. They’re both less expensive and less painful compared to laser hair removal. But there is another possibility that’s a way sweeter deal — literally.
Body sugaring is an ancient art of hair removal using a completely natural paste made from lemon, sugar and water. It looks like honey, but is even thicker. The paste is molded onto your skin against the direction of the hair growth, then quickly flicked off – removing the sugar paste, extracting your unwanted hair, and collecting dead skin cells. This ancient hand technique that allows for the hair to be extracted in the direction of its growth means less breakage and discomfort for you!
It’s more sanitary and reduces waste because there are no sticks or strips. After your service, the paste and gloves are discarded and you are left with beautifully smooth skin.
It is by far one of the most gentle and ancient techniques that’s a natural alternative to lasers, and one that lasts longer than traditional waxing

Sugaring does not stick to skin but only to the hair. Therefore, it really gets the hair out of the roots ,so rather than a wax that adheres to your skin and pulls your skin when you are removing the hair, sugar just binds to your hair and only pulls the hair.
Any pigment or type of hair can be Sugared. It is even 100% safe during your entire pregnancy! With Sugaring, only the dead skin and hair is removed – NONE of your live skin can be removed. And the sugar paste is applied at room temperature, so it can NEVER burn you! Made from white sugar, water, and lemon juice (citric acid), our sugar paste is perfect for every skin type. It’s 100% eco-friendly and biodegradable, and any excess sugar paste comes off gently with warm water.
On what areas of the body can sugaring be used?
Sugaring can be performed on all areas of the body including eyebrows, upper lip, under arms, legs, arms, chest, stomach, back, and the bikini line. There is 1 exception; men should not perform sugaring on the beard area due to a different root system for these hairs.
Body Sugaring VS Waxing
People often ask us, “Is there really a difference between waxing and sugaring?” The answer is yes, and quite a bit actually…
Sugaring Products are very different from waxing products...
Sugaring unwanted facial and body hair requires an entirely different mind-set and approach from waxing.
It’s more sanitary and reduces waste because there are no sticks or strips. After your service, the paste and gloves are discarded and you are left with beautifully smooth skin.
For instance, did you know…
Sugaring products do not adhere to live skin cells…
This is one of the major differences between sugaring and waxing legs and other more sensitive areas. Wax products are made of resins which adhere to skin cells. Because wax sticks to any surface it is applied to, pulling it away causes unwarranted pain. Sugaring products never adhere to live skin cells on bodies, faces, or legs. Therefore, when it is removed, it only gently exfoliates dead skin cells, leaving behind silky smooth skin. Additionally, because sugaring paste is all natural and water soluble, it can be easily rinsed away if needed.
Advanced sugaring technique extracts hair in its natural direction of growth…
When waxing legs and bodies, you remove the hair against the natural direction of growth causing undue levels of pain. With the sugaring method, you only remove the hair in the natural direction of the hair growth. Through the sugaring application technique, the sugar paste seeps into the hair follicle. This helps lubricate the hair root regardless of whether it’s on the legs or anywhere else on your client.
These two facts alone make a world of difference in comfort for the client. This is especially important for clients who have suffered in the past with waxing in sensitive areas.
The healthy difference between natural sugar pastes versus chemicals for waxing legs and bodies…
The Sugaring Paste is all natural. It’s even edible and delicious. Our sugar pastes are very safe and skin friendly. Most products used for waxing legs and full bodies are made from petroleum based resins and chemicals making them prone to contamination or cross contamination.
No risk of burning sensitive skin areas with Advanced sugaring…
Waxing the legs or other areas on a client using hot wax runs the risk of burning sensitive skin. There’s just no way around that. While women are used to this risk, men are often intimidated by the idea of hot wax on their chest, legs, face, or back.
Body sugaring is performed at body temperature. The advanced sugar pastes adhere to the hair, not the skin, and lubricate the root for easier extraction from the follicle. Combined with the hair removal in the natural direction of growth, sugaring means a much more comfortable experience for everyone.

No Need to Shave Between Sugaring Treatments
No Need to Let Your Hair Grow, Grow, Grow
Body Sugaring requires only 1/16″ (2mm) or less of hair growth for body treatments, eliminating the long wait between salon visits and customer frustration. Every treatment makes your hair easier to extract. (that is usually 10 – 14 days after your last shave.)

Regular usage, particularly during the winter months, will noticeably reduce hair growth and the re-growth takes longer to appear and is considerably thinner.
How long does it last?
Your sugaring session should eliminate hair for a solid two weeks, then your hair will start to grow back in between the third and fourth week mark. Some people need to only get sugared every five weeks due to the hair slowing down in growth from sugaring. Average time to come back is 4-6 weeks. Repeated sugaring treatments will often weaken the hair follicle, making it easier to remove hairs over time. Keep in mind that it may take a few sugaring sessions before your hair is completely removed.

However, a trained aesthetician will be able to tweeze to target any stubborn hairs.
To be a candidate for sugaring, your hair must be at least a quarter of an inch long so that the gel is able to bind to the hair and pull it out at the root. Make sure the area you plan on removing hair is well exfoliated and not oily.
You can easily clean up any residue from sugaring with water since all of the ingredients in the mix are natural.
Before your appointment…
Please do not put deodorant on before your underarm Sugaring appointment; don’t put any lotion on the areas you are getting Sugared that day, and please do not exfoliate the day before or the day of your appointment.
Post Sugaring appointment…
Post-sugaring, be sure to avoid hot water, exfoliation, gym activity, sexual intercourse and the sauna for 48 hours. After that time period, you are in the clear to exfoliate to prevent in-grown hairs. Apply a gentle bikini balm like hydrocortisone 1 percent cream to soothe any skin sensitivity. This will help to calm your skin.

Medical experts recommend waiting for 24-48 hours after any type of bikini line hair removal, before participating in any of the above activities. This time period is when your body can be most susceptible to outside bacteria, which can potentially cause an infection. For your safety and health, it is better to abstain, but not required. It is really a personal choice, so just keep in mind that your skin may need some time to recover.
Another thing you want to do is exfoliate (pretty much every day in between appointments, except the day before and the day after you’re appointment).
